The Infants' Home

Charity: Children/Youth, Welfare

The Infants’ Home Child & Family Services is one of Sydney's oldest charities established in 1874 providing services to over 1200 children under school age and their families. The Infants’ Home is incorporated under the Act of NSW Parliament in 1924 and is a secular charity that has Public Benevolent Institution and a Deductible Gift Recipient status.  The Infants’ Home is the only, integrated child and family service hub in the Inner West and Canterbury Bankstown area specialising in supporting young children up to 6 years and their families.  The Infants’ Home operates a multi-purpose hub, which includes integrated childcare and education, parenting education and counselling, child and maternal health, medical and allied health programs, early intervention and outreach services. We support families experiencing disadvantage especially families in vulnerable circumstances and those with complex needs, in a coordinated manner in the context of universal services. The Infants’ Home is governed by a voluntary board of management.
