The Mental Health Research Institute (MHRI) located at Parkville in Melbourne is Australia’s premiere psychiatric research centre and is working to understand, detect, treat, and prevent mental illnesses. The Institute is fully accredited as a medical research institute by the National Health and Medical Research Council and is formally affiliated with the University of Melbourne, Monash University and Melbourne Health.

Our primary focus is on serious mental illnesses including:
